Aquasana Filters Made Our Life Easier!

January 2nd, 2009

One of my New Year resolutions is to quite buying plastic bottled water.  Have you ever considered the cost? The average cost is over $3.50 a gallon. That’s what I paid for a gallon of gas this summer!  So I did a little research. Aquasana filters has a model  that gives me great tasting water for less that $10 cents a gallon. Quite a bit of difference wouldn’t you say? Plus the fact that we as a society contribute 13 billion plastic bottles a year to landfills makes you stop and wonder.

We choose the AQ-4000 Aquasana filter which when purchased through Better Water Store was $99 dollars with free shipping. After opening it up we had it up and running within 5 minutes. It is super simple to connect to the faucet and all you need to do is let it run for a few minutes after that to clear out the “newness” of the filters. After that, these filters last for six months and can be easily replaced. The cost for replacement filters is on $47 dollars for another six months of great tasting water.
