Aren’t Gift Baskets or chocolate covered strawberries more eloquent than speech?

The first person who started the practice of giving gifts or cheap chocolate covered strawberries, to other people needs to be commended for his or her thoughtfulness. The very idea seems so appealing! It must have started as a simple gesture to please the other person and must have gradually become a social practice by itself.
When you give gifts to other persons, you do not have to be vocal about your feelings at all, especially if you are not the kind who believes in giving long speeches. The gifts do the job for you and more so, if they come in the form of Gift Baskets containing the favorite items of the recipient.
The main benefit of giving a unique gift basket is the fact that not only the contents prove useful to the person who receives them, the attractive and ethnic looking basket by itself may be used for various other purposes, unlike other gifts where the packaging material may not prove useful and would have to be thrown away. Once the contents are exhausted, the basket may be used as a show piece or may also be used for storing such items like flowers, fruits, or even perfumes and cosmetics which you would need regularly.
